V - 16 automobile emblems

To my knowledge 7 car manufacturers produced an automobile with a V 16 engine.
The first of all  was MASERATI in 1929 with their Tipo V4, used for racing only.

CADILLAC followed with a luxury limousine in 1930 powered by a V - 16 engine.
Then MARMON offered one year later an aluminium V 16 engine.

CADILLAC  built  3,700  cars only, even less were built by MARMON (400 cars), so you can say there was no commercial succes at all.

There was also one prototype made by PEERLESS, two cars made by ALFA ROMEO and one AUTO UNION racing car. None of these three had an own emblem referring to the V-16 engine.

this emblem was on the bar between the headlamps

In 1988 the CIZETA - MORODER made in Italy was produced by Claudio Zampolli and Giorgio Moroder using a V-16 engine. Only  few cars were produced.
The name CIZETA is a phonetic play of words: if you pronounce the first letter of Claudio and of Zampolli it becomes Ci Zeta in the Italian language.

No, there was no V-16 engine made by STUTZ. But there was a V 16 emblem, referring to the fact of using 16 valves (SV 16  =  single valve sixteen)

No, there was no V 32 - cylinder engine. This time STUTZ referred to the fact of using 4 valves per cylinder, so 32 valves in a 8-cylinder engine.

  3. This was seen to be high and costly there as on being that the automation was yet to develop as it was still in its younger stages, and each of the step taken in production process would be mainly done out in a manual way. Frank Martin
