LORRAINE DIETRICH / LUNEVILLE / FRANCE ( 1905 - 1940 )
The brand name was initially De Dietrich, then Lorraine Dietrich and from 1928 just Lorraine.
Production of passenger cars ended in 1934. In the following years, the company concentrated on military vehicles. The cross of Lorraine appeared on the radiators in 1905. LORRAINE DIETRICH was active and successful in racing, for example in the Le Mans race in 1925 and 1926.
The DE DIETRICH started with TURCAT MERY designs because they had acquired a license from TURCAT MERY in 1902, which ended in 1911.
So I´m proud to present you a very early DE DIETRICH radiator with emblem:

to my knowledge, an emblem like this one in the advertisement with the name"LORRAINE DIETRICH" and the word “AUTOMOBILES” has never been mounted on a radiator. |

Not to forget, there was also a solid brass radiator cap showing the cross of Lorraine:

For a short time the previously monochrome emblem became two-colored and was given a light blue band:

There was also a very attractive radiator mascot with an enameled cross:
Finally here comes the most beautiful radiator emblem from LORRAINE DIETRICH. To my knowledge this emblem was first used in 1922. It is very sought after by collectors.

There are a lot of variations. Here is a special one:
The last LORRAINE DIETRICH car had a modernized emblem still showing the cross of Lorraine:
