This page is dedicated to pre war car emblems and interesting post war emblems I want to present to you the most beautiful and the most rarest emblems on this page. To my knowledge the first enameled radiator emblem was on the French Brasier 1904. From this time on thousands of these nice artifacts were mounted on the radiator to identify the car. ROLLS ROYCE pre 1934 radiator emblems

Of course every collector has a ROLLS ROYCE radiator emblem in his collection.
Here you see the three most interesting emblems. They all are pre 1934 because from this year on the letters became black. May be because of the death from Mr. Charles Stuart Rolls who died in 1933.
But I think the reason is that it looks more serious.

ROLLS ROYCE made in USA

ROLLS ROYCE of America started production in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1921. They went into bankruptcy in 1935. A little bit more than 3,000 ROLLS ROYCE of Amercia were built in 14 years so the emblem is remarkable rare. This emblem is from the Lee Roy Hartung collection that was put up for auction in 2011.

I HAVE Radiator Flying Lady Emblem Dated 06/11/1911 What is it worth .Has name and date etc.

The RR emblem became black from 1932, a year before Sir F.H. Royce died. The reason was that red didnt really look good on some car paints. It was coincidental that this happened around Royce´s death.

C.S. Rolls already died in 1910, the first Englishman to die in a plane accident.

I started collecting radiator emblems in 1976. I remember this clearly because I had to give my first car to the local scrapyard. It was a still nice looking Volkswagen squareback. The scrapyard director was interested in my car and I was interested in the emblems of all cars in the field. So a deal was made. And I went home with a bucket full of emblems. Later I've been on swap meets all around the world. I started buying emblems on Ebay in 1999. From this time on prices became comparable for the first time. This made it possible for me to invent a five-star system to categorize emblems based on their rarity and value.This table is applicable for original emblems in a good but not perfect shape. Not for reproductions.

	A common pre-war emblem from a mass producer like Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler etc. Value: 0$ - 50$
	Still a well known car but no high production quantities. Value: 50$ - 200$
	Here it starts with the highly collectible emblems. Value: 200$ - 500$
	A very rare and very desirable emblem. You have to look years to find one of these. Value: 500$ - 800$
	An ultra rare piece. Prices are sometimes 800$ and more.
