HERFF - BROOKS / INDIANAPOLIS / USA ( 1914 - 1916 )
The HERFF - BROOKS Corporation was a short - lived automobile manufacturer based in Indianapolis. It operated for about three years from 1914 to 1916. It was a successor of the failed MARATHON Motor Works of Nashville ( please look at my MARATHON post).
The name came from the HERFF Brothers and H.H. BROOKS.
It is believed that only one HERFF - BROOKS automobile survives today so the radiator emblem is as rare as the car.
This emblem is from the Lee Roy Hartung collection that was put up for auction in november 2011 and it is the rarest emblem of all versions !
