WHARTON / USA

The WHARTON Motors Co. of Dallas / Texas  was an ambitious attempt to market a car powered by an 8-cylinder aero engine, made by Curtiss, type OX-5.
The cars were quiet expensive ( 3,450 USD ) so they sold only a few cars.
A line of cheaper 6 - and 4-cylinder cars was announced, but none were built.
In 1923 they went into recievership and out of business.
