FL Automobiles / Ste. des Moteurs Otto / Paris / France ( 1909 - 1914 )
The Societé Générale des Voitures Otto, located in Paris, offered in 1909 a conventional car with either a 12 / 16 HP 4-cylinder or a 18/24 HP 6 cylinder engine and a gearbox with four speeds.
Sales were very modeste and after 5 years with the beginning of WWI it was all over.
According to the internet, two vehicles have survived.
On the emblem and sales brochures you can read : LICENCE SEREX but no make "SEREX" is known. May it was the designer of this particular automobile.
It is unclear for what the abbreviation FL stands as a brand name. Since the vehicle was built in Paris and the two letters “EF EL” pronounce the same as the Eiffel tower in French, there is a lot to be in favor of this play on words
The later emblem, used from 1912, also shows the Eiffel Tower.
