FOX / FRANCE

FOX / PUTEAUX / FRANCE  (  1912 - 1923 )

L. van der Eyken initially founded the company in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1912. The name of the brand was “FOX”. The company was therefore named after an animal. In this respect, it is surprising that the only emblem known (to me) does not show a fox, but a dog (or which animal do you recognize?) Probably the emblem shows the dog race Fox Terrier as I was told from a reader.

The company moved to Puteaux in 1919.

By the way, other car manufacturers also used the name “FOX”. For example, the “Automobilwerke AG” in Dellbrück / Germany and the companies “Ahrens - Fox”  and Fox Motor Car Co. in the States. 

I don't know how many French FOX vehicles were  produced, but it can't have been many.

 

Fox or dog, that´s the question...
