DAIMLER Motorengesellschaft / Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt / Germany ( 1886 - 1926 )
Gottlieb Daimler was a pioneer in the technical development of motorization. In 1872, Daimler joined the “DEUTZ gas engine factory”. In this company, he worked together with Wilhelm Maybach. By installing a gasoline engine in a carriage, Daimler created the first four-wheeled automobile. Paul Daimler continued the Daimler Motorengesellschaft and in 1926 a merger with BENZ & Cie. created today's Daimler Benz AG. Daimler also built very successful trucks.

What an impressing truck emblem with almost 10 cm diameter. Never seen before! On first sight, you'd think, ah, this is an old Mercedes emblem. But it says DAIMLER! Great to see it with the original advertisement as proof.
