MIKROMOBIL / HAMBURG / GERMANY

MIKROMOBIL / HAMBURG / GERMANY  ( 1920 - 1924 )

Another manufacturer that (almost) nobody knows. There isn't even an article about it on Wikipedia yet. In this respect, this post will now be the most comprehensive source of information about MIKROMOBIL-GESELLSCHAFT with a photo of the car and it´s emblem.

The MICROMOBIL - GESELLSCHAFT from Hamburg was founded in 1920.  The first version was launched in Leipzig the same year. It had an air-cooled 7/9 hp 2-cylinder engine.

In 1922 they offered a 6/24 hp version with a four-cylinder engine.  This vehicle was manufactured in Hamburg-Wandsbek, Johannesstr. 24.

Not a single vehicle survived. The only remnant of this cyclecar is this emblem:

Size
c. 5.0  cm

Year
 1921 - 1924
Estimate

And here is the only contemporary photo I was able to find:

In this photo, you can clearly see that the vehicle has a round emblem. However, this could only be verified once an original was found. The photo is taken from the book “Das Klein-Auto von Ing. R. Hofmann”, published in 1924.

Their slogan was: Von Konstanz bis Kiel - im Mikromobil - das kostet nicht viel                                                              ( From Konstanz to Kiel—in a Mikromobil—it doesn't cost much ) :
