LLOYD CARS Ltd. / GRIMSBY / UK ( 1936 - 1939 / 1946 - 1951 )
LLOYD CARS Ltd. was a British motor manufacturer, founded by Roland Lloyd in 1936.
Please do not confuse this company with Lloyd, which was built in Germany before and after the Second World War.
The Type 350, a genuine, very light cycle car, was built from 1936 to 1939. Immediately after the Second World War in1946 the company launched the Type 650. However, this was not a sales success, as the car was much too heavy and expensive, twice as expensive as a Ford Anglia, for example.
About 600 vehicles were built by 1951, some of which were also exported. An original LLOYD 650 emblem is difficult to find because only a few were manufactured.
