RÖCK / KELENFÖLD / HUNGARY ( 1913 -19014 )
One of the oldest machine factories in Budapest, the István Röck Machine and Boiler Factory in Kelenföld—founded in 1802—also ventured into automobile manufacturing. Around 1913, it built postal buses based on chassis designed by János Csonka. The factory’s emblem was a simple brass plaque bearing the name “RÖCK” in an elegant, curving cursive script. Production came to an end with the outbreak of World War I.
