VOLVO started in the automobile business very late. In 1927 they built their first car. Here you see the second VOLVO radiator emblem. There is a manufacturers mark on the reverse: SPORRONG & CO STOCKHOLM. Without this mark it is a repro ! So please have also at the backside. Only 2,800 cars of this type were built. there are two version: one for the left side and one for the right side of the hood VOLVO CARIOCA , radiator with mascot, emblem and the typical VOLVO sign, a circle with arrow head In 1977 VOLVO celebrated its 50th anniversary. So there was an emblem referring in color and shape to the first VOLVO emblem from 1927/1928 (see top of the page).
