Z ( Zbrojovka ) Czechoslovakia

Z: short for Zbrojovka  ( 1924 -1939 ),  located in Brno / Czechoslovakia

This Czech  ex - armaments factory - like many others  -  had to look for new business after World War I.
They started with a single-cylinder 2-stroke 600cc engine [Georgano].
Later there were 6 - and 8-cylinder engines.

After WWII they had no chance to restart the private car production.

Here is the nice colorful emblem of the type Z6 showing the front axle construction.
To my knowledge this is the only radiator emblem that presents the axle of a car.

very sought after emblem, made of two pieces

4.2 cm x  9.0 cm

 1934 - 1936

1936 Z4  V. serie  seen in a czech museum

There were several series of the type  Z4  using different emblems:

There were some more enameled radiator emblems, but no so colorful:

Type Z9 1930

                                                                    1927 Z radiator

1935 Type Z 5 with mascot

now the emblem was engraved into the mascot

After WWII the Z factory continued by producing tractors still using the Z emblem in a circle:
