DIAMOND T / CHICAGO / USA ( 1905 - 1966 )
C.A. Tilt started passenger car production in 1905. Very few cars were built in the first 6 years. From 1911, only trucks were manufactured until the end of the company in 1965.
Here I can present a so far unknown emblem, which probably comes from a passenger car. At least this emblem is not to be seen on any truck. It shows the characteristic diamond, even three-dimensionally, and is made of two parts. The (metal) diamond has obviously been screwed in from the back.
It is unclear
whether the oval emblem was mounted vertically or horizontally on the
radiator. I opted for upright because then the manufacturer's logo on
the back can be read the right way around and more recent emblems also
show the rhombus aligned horizontally.
