FORD / COLOGNE / GERMANY ( 1931 - today )
The well-known FORD T model has been assembled in Berlin Spandau since 1925 and from 1928, the successor model, the Ford Model A. In 1929 Ford bought a 160000 square meter site in Cologne - Niehl and built a factory there, which started production in 1931. The company was very proud about that. A commemorative badge made of enameled aluminum was issued for the 10th anniversary in 1941.

The really most beautiful FORD emblems of all times came out after the Second World War. Here is the emblem that adorned the so-called "Buckeltaunus":

The truck built parallel to the Buckeltunus had an emblem with the same motif, but much larger and the word "KÖLN" in the chimney:

The following emblem with the globe is very popular with collectors. It is difficult to produce as there is a risk that the enamel colors will melt and run when heated. It was used on the type FORD "WELTKUGEL" type G13 from 1952 to 1959.
Size | 7.5 cm |

The Studebaker Champion was supposedly the inspiration for this FORD, but with a globe instead of a hood ornament.
Then ( sadly ) only metal emblems followed on the trucks:

Truck production in Germany, which began in Berlin in 1926 and moved to Cologne in 1931, was discontinued in 1961 due to chronically declining sales figures.
