TIDAHOLMS BRUKS AB / TIDAHOLM / SWEDEN ( 1906 - 1932 )
Yes, there was a Swedish car company before VOLVO. The TIDAHOLM started car production in 1906.
The TIDAHOLM had probably the oldest ancestry of any car-making firm;
the company traced their history back to the ownership of a mill in
1403. Lorries were made from 1906, and were always their main production
[Georgano]. After 1913 the company concentrated on buses.
On the emblems of TIDAHOLM and VOLVO you see the same symbol:
a circle with an arrow. But it is not the male biological sign. It is an ancient sign for iron.
You have to look years for this emblem !
