FARMACK MOTOR CAR CORPORATION / CHICAGO / USA ( 1915 - 1916 )
Albert J. Farmer, an experienced automobile designer, founded the FARMACK MOTOR CAR COMPANY in Chicago in 1915. The name FARMACK is made up of his name and the name of the investor M. M. McIntyre. A vehicle with a 4-cylinder engine was offered. Although the vehicle was said to be of good quality and was offered at a reasonable price, sales were not successful and the FARMACK company became the DREXEL brand in 1916.
All FARMACK emblems are very rare. Production numbers are not known but must have been very, very low. Even in the world biggest emblem collection in the Swigart museum you can´t see a FARMACK emblem.

The only advertisement I could find for FARMACK shows a round emblem with the graphic of the letter “F” and the letter "Y". On my emblem you can also identify the letter"Y" ( in a different design). So it is clear that the brass emblem is a real FARMACK automobile emblem.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any contemporary photos showing a FARMACK radiator, so it is still unclear what the mounted emblems look like. May be you can help ?
An enameled FARMACK emblem was sold at auction for 1,600 USD in 2022. |
