VOMAG / PLAUEN / GERMANY ( 1915 - 1944 )
From 1915 to 1944, the company based in Plauen, Saxony, Germany, manufactured heavy trucks. The vehicles enjoyed a worldwide reputation. After the Second World War, the factory, which had already been severely bombed, was completely dismantled by Russian occupants and not replaced.
The brand name VOMAG is short for “Vogtländische Maschinenfabrik AG” (Vogtland Machine Factory).
The first emblem was round and probably also enameled. However, I have never seen an original one.

From 1922 to 1936, the VOMAG script was stamped into the radiator alongside the oval emblem on other truck models:

From 1939 onwards, a logo was used in which the letter V was enclosed in a circle:

Last but not least, I would like to present this wonderful enamel sign. It is huge, measuring approximately 1 x 2 meters:
If I have classified the radiator correctly, it should be an enamel sign for a 1928 VOMAG.
