VOITURETTE LA VIOLETTE

VOITURETTE LA VIOLETTE radiator emblem
Nothing is known about this French car maker, I can´t find any information about this firm in the net.
But I know that a second complet radiator is in a British collection. So there has been more than one prototype.
Plants have been displayed on emblems by very few firms only such as ALFA, FIAT (have a look on this page), ALBION, MC FARLAN (have a look on this page), ROSENGART and may be some more.
To choose a violet - as a radiator symbol can therefore be regarded as at least unusual compared to the vast majority of symbols representing strength or technical skills (e.g. animals, wheels or other parts of machinery, coat of arms, buildings etc.).

Dimensions 6.7 cm
Year1910 -  1914
Estimate

To own the wunderful emblem I had to buy the radiator. The radiator is quite small.
May be VOITURETTE LA VIOLETTE was made for lady drivers.

Now I know:
La Violette was made between 1910 and 1914 by Franc et Cie at Levallois - Peret / Seine. The first car carry a single-cylinder engine of 700 cc, friction transmission and chain drive.
By 1913 they had a two cylinder engine and shaft drive with four seater body.

Thank you Hannu for this advice.
