RICKENBACKER / USA

The company was established by Eddie Rickenbacker, a former racing driver and hero of WW I.
He lent his name but the real driving force was the triumvirate that earlier created the E-M-F:
Barney Everitt, William Metzger and Walter Flanders.

In 1922 the first Rickenbacker automobile  was presented at the New York automobile show and they sold 2,262 cars this year. Their best year was 1925 with more than 8,000 cars, but the last year (1927) only 517 cars were built.         In six years 25,000 cars were sold.

On each emblem you see a top hat inside a ring.
