MORRIS / UK

Car dealer William R. Morris launched his own car  the MORRIS OXFORD in 1913. It proved very popular and over 1,000 cars were sold by the end of 1914.
By 1925 over 54,000 cars were sold making MORRIS the largest producer in UK.
The last car with a MORRIS badge was built in 1984.

In more than fifty years  dozens of  different emblems had been on the cars so it´s  a pleasure to collect MORRIS emblems.

The first MORRIS OXFORD ( 1913 - 1914 ) had no radiator emblem.

To my knowledge  the first  emblem was on the radiator of a MORRIS COWLEY in 1915.
It showed an ox   with tail down (!) crossing a ford, therefore Oxford !!!
